Shakti’s Story — Rescued and Healed by Jeevdaya Foundation

A Cruel Act, A Cry for Help A few days ago, our Jeevdaya Foundation team was called to help a cow in distress. What we saw broke our hearts — her horn had been brutally broken by her own owner. The cow was in immense pain, with blood around the injured horn, but there was still a quiet hope in her eyes. She seemed to know she was finally going to be helped. Rescue and Treatment Our rescue team immediately brought her to our shelter and began medical treatment. The wound at the base of her horn was carefully cleaned and disinfected to prevent infection. It was then dressed with medicated bandages, and she was given pain relief and antibiotics. Over the following days, our caretakers continued her treatment with gentle care and regular dressing changes. The Road to Recovery We named her “Shakti,” meaning strength, because despite her suffering, she stood tall and calm through the pain. Within a few days, her condition improved — the bleeding stopped, the swelling reduced, and her appetite returned. Today, she recognizes our team members, comes forward when called, and even wags her tail with affection. Her trust is the greatest reward for our efforts. A Reminder of Compassion Shakti’s story is a painful reminder of how easily animals can become victims of cruelty — but also how love and compassion can heal the deepest wounds. At Jeevdaya Foundation, we believe every life deserves care, respect, and protection. Join Us in Our Mission Every day, we rescue and treat injured, abandoned, and abused animals like Shakti. But we can’t do it alone. You can help us by: Reporting injured or suffering animals. Volunteering your time or skills. Donating to support medical care and shelter facilities. Because when we stand together for compassion, we give innocent beings like Shakti a second chance at life. 💛 — Jeevdaya Foundation Saving Lives, Spreading Kindness.
