Last Sunday, our team received an urgent call from Whitefield about a stray dog trapped in a construction site. The poor animal had been stuck for nearly two days without food or water, and locals were unable to reach it safely.
When our volunteers arrived, they carefully assessed the situation and noticed the dog was frightened and dehydrated. Using protective gear and ropes, they managed to pull the dog out of the pit where it had fallen.
The rescue was not easy, as the dog was initially aggressive due to fear. Our team showed patience, offering food and water slowly until the dog calmed down. Once secured, it was safely transported to our shelter.
After medical examination, the veterinarians confirmed the dog had minor injuries but nothing life-threatening. Today, it is recovering well and is already showing signs of trust and affection towards our team.
This rescue reminded us of the importance of community awareness. If you see an animal in distress, do not hesitate to call for help. Together, we can make a difference in their lives.
